Sven’s Luau

I recall we went a little nuts getting into the theme of this event, which was a “sequel” to Sven Goes a Viking. Much cheap Hawaiian print fabric was acquired and turned into tabards just for this. Along with other decorations (flowers, tiki stuff), we made quite a sight.

I also recall that the sheep toss event was great fun – flinging sheep into volcanoes. –Michelino di Gino Martini

Sven Goes a Viking

This viking themed event I believe encouraged a little added dress up, as several folks had add-on horns, braids, and such. It was a fun, small war, with I believe some participation from bystanders and children in the form of thrown “rocks”. I also recall that our archer, Daffydd du Duc, might have killed the king while he was giving an inspirational speech to his side. He was advised to wait a bit before shooting him.
