• Emprise was this weekend. Basil got AoA, Green Leaf. Their Ex’s were out of town so not much business. No formal bids on Lionhearts. If you want it to be a camping event, get a bid in.
• There’s a new Baronial chronicler.
• Law changes: tithe 10% to be going away but not for awhile.
• Changes in online criers.
• Shadra is getting her Laurel.
• No Baronial banquet next spring.
• Working on A&S.
• Barony is hosting a BOD social.

Reports

Chatelaine: 5 people working in the Barony; 2 new from Ansteorra. Starting to think about demo in May. Had a walk-in at social on Thursday. Showed up did paperwork and started playing. Did the Kingdom

MOS: Had several practices canceled; but now started up again that the season has ended.

A&S: Look for hood class

Exchequer: I have done stuff as there has been no stuff to do.

Herald: is happening slowly. Have name and device things happening. Advertised for training in voice heraldry at social. Thinking about doing some commentary nights. Lionsblood is now in Aquaterra but submissions will continue to go to Corvalis. Basil is officially Everard’s deputy herald for the Barony.

Web minister: URL has been created on the AnTir server but an update must be done. Site is still on 1and1.com until AnTir server is ready. We will keep 1and1.com until then. The website, itself, is updated.

Baronial bits

Baronial A&S will be punted to next Spring; Lots of discussion for equestrian events next summer; there is a conflict for equestrians for Lionhearts.
It is likely that Baronial Banquet will go to a 18 month cycle. Barony is taking Chronicler apps thru last Friday.
Need for autocrats: Lionhearts, A&S.
Discussion to not be too hide bound about how events are done.

Chatelaine: 2 new ones and a transplant from Artimesia;

MOS: Practice continues; good attendance-3 armored up and wore each other; lots of armoring.

Exchequer: quarterly report went in. We have money.

Herald: 2 people want devices and names. Need to find documentation. Oddr is stepping up as Kingdom Submissions herald. Lizzy is stepping down as Laurel Queen of Arms in 16 days.

Web reports: approved by kingdom to move to antir.org. waiting for go ahead.

Paupers Paradise: need to be more than 3 months in advance to get the date we want. 13 members thru the gate. Played with sticks. We need to find out what to do with waivers and gate sheets. Alexandra will look into it. We will look into the barn next time.

Chatelaine: We’ve had two inquiries. We will plan to do a demo next year.

MOS: Report done. Practice continues. One inquiry and new person. Morgan has been showing.

Exchequer: Approval given to pay for website. Since Etiennette will become Kingdom Exchequer we will finally get our signatures ironed out. A check was written to pay for website.

Herald: Herald is happening. Needs a deputy. Going to start a heraldic consult at Thursday social.

Website move: Discussion occurred regarding logistics. Voting occurred and we decided to move the site to An Tir server.

Baronial bits

It does not look like there will be a Baronial Banquet next year. Probably going to 18 months. They will probably want to combine it with A&S.
There are two new rules: there is a maximum of three tier 1 events per calendar year. If a group hosts an event in your boundaries they must get written permission and tithe 10% to hosting branch.
Children under twelve are expected to be within sight and sound of designated adults. Three complaints and they can ask you to leave.
Chronicler is a required position at the Baronial level.
They are looking for autocrats and new and different events.
Madrone is doing gate on Friday at July Coronation.
Madrone is going to Autumn War.

Reports

MOS: practices continue; Friday was insane. We had 30 people. There was two newbies. Discussion occurred for Rapier practice. So practice is very active.

Exchequer: We have money. Money’s in the bank from the Pancake Breakfast.

Herald: herald things are happening. Two people are trying to get arms. Also taking ideas of what we’d like on the website for Heraldry.

Chatelaine: I have no new increase but I am actively working those who have joined. No Marymoor event this September.

Website: web master wants to move website to An Tir website but we had more questions so we will resolve this on email.

Wrap up Lionhearts and Pancake Breakfast: Lionhearts was lots of fun.

• Breakfast- we predicted 50 we got 47. 90 eggs, 10lbs of bacon, 6.5 lbs of pancake mix, 5 lbs of sausage. No reimbursements were requested. We brought in about what we spent. 3 stoves would have been ideal.
• Pacing: pancakes took longer than anything else.

Pauper’s Paradise-have the site rented. We have a website that rocks. We have the simplest schedule possible. Aethlred is bringing fish. Some people are wearing loud tunics-that’s their game others can do what they want.

New Bits

Ermine Cross: bardic event; potentially April 2012; Anne Rose wants to run it as a canton event. She will get back to us next months.

Baronial stuff

Bid for Baronial Banquet, Lionhearts; perhaps July coronation; talk about changing the format of Lionhearts from a championship to a regular event. Talk about South Sound Unity revival . We have a new A&S champion, and Bardic champion.

Herald: Happens; table at A&S ; warrant mailed;

Exchequer: slacked for a month. $130.00/year or $30.00/quarter; Exchequer approved to be reimbursed for web cost for $68.93

Website: being updated. There’s a bug preventing updating of Herald’s page.

MOS: fighting continues; working 3-4 people into armor.

Chatelaine: 36 newcomers. 5 have become registered since May. New discussion list on Yahoo with links for interests. Social will have leather-working and SCA garb 101 class and dancing.

Baronial A&S: food was good. Newcomer Luca entered Bardic. People came, people ate, people had fun.

Demos: Landin would like to run the May Demo in 2011.

Sew What: Tracy’s house Nov.6 1pm to whenever bring something to burn and something to share. People are welcome even if you have nothing to work on because it’s also a social.

Emprise: They’re going to meet where they are meeting through the end of the year. Anne Rose is putting in a bid for Baronial banquet.

Reports

MOS: several new comers coming to practices and some will even stick. Had an armoring evening last night.

Exchequer: book review at Crown; issues that are open; they want us to have a financial policy so hielyn will write one and bring it to a meeting for approval. Regenerate our signature card. We must replace former Kingdome Exchequer Peter Gorshkoff with current Kingdom Exchequer Roberta Tower. Other signers: Scott Lewellen, Anita Donaldson, Tristan Sale, Tracy Davis. We have a new piece of equipment-files on thumbdrive.

Chatelaine: The list of newcomers has grown to 35. They swap out at different activities. Some are moving into the area. Socials are huge success. We had 31 in four classes. The next challenge is assimilating them in. The chatelaine team is meeting with their Nexcellancies at A&S

Herald: Anne Rose wants to Herald. She was approved and paper signed. It was approved for her to get the Pic Dic. This really made the chatelaine happy.

There are candidates. The meeting focused on Candidates.

MOS: fighter practices continue in the canton. It’s nice outside so we’re fighting outside. The report is in.

Exchequer: need to write a check to exchequer for website.

Chatelaine: 6 requests for info; 1 came to practice. We are doing a demo on Aug 14 in North Bend. They are going to give us VIP parking passes. Going to propose to the Barony to provide lunch for those who participate in the demo.

Web presence: Link for the fighter practice and Social needs to be changed. You could put a link to the MOS for fighter practice. Although newcomers don’t know what a MOS is so make the button say fighter practice. Remove News. Add a button to “join the PDL announcement list” and link it to the Kingdom Instruction Page to join our email list. I will put the meeting minutes on my email announcing the next meeting.
